We need Owner Drivers in
Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Queenstown.

There is a lot to like about being a Super Shuttle Owner Driver:

Turnover depends on each region but pre CV19 our double shifted Auckland vans generated over $340,000 per annum and our single shifted vans, $210,000. Turn over with a reduced fleet, is higher than this today. We don’t need any prior history in passenger services as Super Shuttle will train you to ensure you can maximise your potential. You will need a P Endorsement and a Transport Service Licence (Passenger) but providing you have had a NZ license for 2 years or more and have a clean criminal background, it is a quick and easy process to complete. Just some forms and a few weeks to process. You will need around $15k in capital to invest in a van/trailer and start-up costs. New Toyota vans are scarce, but we have access to a supply of excellent quality second-hand rigs. This helps lower the cost of entry as well. It is a low stress business. To be successful you will need to commit to working the van hard but the business itself is low stress:

  1. All customer acquisition - marketing and sales
  2. Manages all customer debt
  3. Critical airport relationships
  4. Call centre
  5. Operations centre
  6. Technology investment

This leaves our driving team's single focus to be our customers and after a busy day, turn the key off and leave work parked outside.

As noted, we don’t need prior experience but the following characteristics make for a highly successful business outcome.

  1. A great work ethic – while the work is fun, to generate earnings the van needs to be on the road.
  2. Enjoy engaging with the public (this means a good command of English is needed)
  3. Enjoy driving with a calm demeanour around traffic.
  4. Be healthy. Whilst it is not overly physical, we like to lift our passengers bags into the trailer for them when we can.
